Planning Ahead

In today’s day and age, we are taught that having a strong social media presence is required for your business to succeed. But coming up with content and posting it every day or even every week can be mentally draining. Not to mention all the different platforms you need to include.

I learned a trick very early on that has helped me tremendously! I want to share it with you today.

Schedule your content ahead of time and write it out in batches.

Here Is A Glimpse At My Marketing Calendar

Here is a glimpse at my marketing calendar

  • I spend 1 hour at the end of the month planning out my days and what type of content I want to use.

  • I spend 1 more hour picking out my topics

  • Finally, I spend 1-3 hours batch-writing all of my content (Or, I split it into 2 Sundays)

In total, I spend 5 hours planning, writing, editing, proofreading, and scheduling.

You may have noticed that Tuesdays are left wide open. I use this day as a buffer, so that in the event life gets crazy, as it often does, and I fall behind on my writing, I won’t overwhelm myself with too much to catch up on.

Most platforms have a scheduling tool, so you can input all the content and have it ready to auto-post for you at the exact day and time of your choosing.

Another thing I love about this is how goal-oriented it is. I set my own goal for how much I want to post per week and it prompts me to stay on track.

This system allows me to focus on other avenues of growing my business, like attending networking events and working with more clients.

Utilizing these tips will help you grow your social media presence and will make your life 10x easier. Happy planning!
