So, What Is Your Why?

Why did I decide to become an entrepreneur? Why did I choose to build a business on my own? Why did I choose copywriting as a career? What is my “why”?

I love to write. It is so much easier for me to sort out my thoughts, feelings, and ideas on paper than in my head or even in conversation. The amount of notebooks and journals I have collected over the years has allowed me to hone my skills and my desire to turn my hobby into a career.

So, Why Copywriting?

Copywriting came about through my career as an administrator, I found I seriously enjoyed writing about other people’s products or services.

More than that I liked the idea of selling someone else’s success and value. All of these are good reasons to be a copywriter, but why start my own business?

The life of a business owner is not for everyone, it takes a lot of determination, discipline, and hard work to reach that point of smooth sailing. While the idea of sitting on a pristine beach somewhere in the Caribbean with my laptop is alluring, it is also many years into the future.

There are many days that I feel unmotivated, burned out, or discouraged. Some might think that when you start a business, clients pour in, you make thousands in the first month, and you can retire in 5 years. Maybe some can do that, but for the majority of us that is not the case. Trust me, I wish it was!

So, Why Entrepreneurship?

I could’ve worked in an ad agency, continued to be an administrator, or even just done a little freelancing on the side.

But God had other plans for me…

He gave me this drive, this determination, the strong will to withstand the hard days ahead. I trust in his plan.

My “why” is quite simple: I want to help you succeed.
